EVA Longoria is far from Desperate now – she’s been announced as the official host of the MTV EMAs!
Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria, will lead proceedings at the event, which will see stars including Katy Perry and Linkin Park take to the stage in Madrid.

And the lovely Latino couldn’t be happier about landing the much-coveted Spanish gig, the MTV EMAs, taking place on November 6.

She said: “I’m beyond excited to be asked to host the 2010 EMAs and getting to do it in the beautiful city of Madrid is the icing on the cake.”

Three more fabulous performers were also announced yesterday – Kings Of Leon, Kid Rock and Ke$ha will blow up the stage at the Europe Music Awards with undoubtedly powerful performances.

Tick Tock star Ke$ha warned: “Madrid, watch out, I’m coming to party and I promise it will be messy.”

But Victoria Beckham’s fashionista friend is more pumped about seeing some other girls.

Lady Gaga – who turned up to last month’s MTV VMAs wearing a meat dress – and previous host Katy Perry lead the nominations with a whopping five categories each and Eva is ever so proud of her ladies.

Eva continued: “I can’t wait to see some fabulous performances and love that the most nominated artists this year are two amazing women, making some of the most exciting music in pop right now!”
